Welcome to the Holly Bush Inn

The Holly Bush is an Old drovers Inn dating back more than 300 years. A welcoming log fire and good company in the bar will make you feel at home with us very quickly.

We have a restaurant serving mainly home cooked food sourced as locally as possible, a well stocked bar and real ales.

There are six ‘Four Star’ ensuite bedrooms – three of which can be used as twin or family rooms. One room is on the ground floor and we also welcome pets.

Secure off road parking for cycles and motor bikes and drying facilities for rainy days.

We are located in the beautiful Northumberland National Park (home to red squirrels) surrounded by fantastic countryside and also the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park with very little light pollution and very dark skies.

We are ideally based to visit Kielder where you can find the fantastic Kielder Observatory and also Kielder Water & Forest Park which is the largest man-made reservoir in Europe.

This is Border Reiver country and the Tarset Bastle trail starts at the car park in Greenhaugh. These fortified farmhouses were built in the days of turmoil to keep family and stock safe from Reiver raiding parties. Our guest rooms are named after seven of them close to the pub.

The Holly Bush Inn is proud to be recognised by Trip Advisor, CAMRA / Good Beer Guide 2021, Cask Marque, Restaurant Guru, Stay in a Pub and Good to Go
