The Holly Bush has been serving beer for over 300 years and is one of the few ancient drovers inns left in Northumberland.
All visitors to the Holly Bush always receive a warm welcome from the locals and you can enjoy a pint of real ale in the bar chatting about the day's activities whilst enjoying the warm ambience that is created by the old black-leaded range.
The Holly Bush has also played host to Royal visitors: Previous landlords Tim and Christine Morris had the pleasure of receiving the Prince of Wales and Camilla at the Holly Bush in 2007. His Royal Highness and the Duchess of Cornwall were visiting the area to meet farmers and members of the local community and the Holly Bush was chosen as the perfect venue to do just that.
A golden gift, with a view of the stars: Kielder forest, Northumberland. We were very pleased to be mentioned recently in the Guardian Travel section, under Romantic Trips.
